Julia Jones, Johnny Sequoyah Return for Dexter: New Blood Sequel

Ten years after faking his death in Miami and disappearing in the wilderness, beloved serial killer Dexter Morgan is back. Showtime has announced a second season of its limited sequel series, Dexter: New Blood, with a story centered around Dexter's son, Harrison Morgan, played by Jack Alcott.

The original series star, Michael C. Hall, will not be returning as Dexter, but he will serve as an executive producer on the new season. Julia Jones and Johnny Sequoyah will reprise their roles as Angela Bishop and Audrey Bishop, respectively.

In the season finale of Dexter: New Blood, Dexter was killed by Harrison after he realized his father's true nature. However, it was later revealed that Dexter actually survived and fled the scene. The second season will pick up where the finale left off, with Dexter living a new life under an assumed name.

The new season of Dexter will premiere on Showtime in October 2023.
